Our founder's roots

Roseroot was founded by Rosenidh Despeines, born and raised in Jérémie, Grand'Anse, Haiti. From a young age, she found joy in caring for the hair of children, neighbours, and elders in her community.
For Rosenidh, hair care was never just a routine — it was an act of love, connection, and empowerment. What began as simple moments of kindness grew into a passion for natural hair care, and today that passion lives on through Roseroot.

Rosenidh was frustrated by store-bought products that left her hair dry, brittle, or coated with synthetic ingredients. She wanted real hydration, real nourishment, and real shine — nothing less.
So she began experimenting at home with what nature offered: aloe, hibiscus, castor oil, avocado, coconut, rosemary, and lavender. What started as a personal search for solutions evolved into something much bigger — a hair mask created to truly transform hair, naturally. Roseroot was born to fill that gap.
